Background Note and Tentative Programme

Workshop on Training Needs in Disability Rehabilitation Field

Kushabhau Thakare Composite Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disabilities (KTCRCPD), Bhopal in association with RCI organized a Workshop on Training Needs in the Disability Rehabilitaiton Field on 25th March 2009. The focus was to identify the training needs in the satates of Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh. Dr.Ashutosh Pandit, Director CRC, Professor G.Guru MPBOU and Mr. Sunit Roy addressed the participants. Dr. Ganesh joshi of KTCRCPD Bhopal, Dr.S.K.Mishra Deputy Director(Academics) RCI, and Fr.Thomas of M.P. Viklang Sansthan Ujjain delivered lead lectures on various aspects of training needs in disability rehabilitation field with special reference to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The Workshop was attended by representatives of various NGOs working in the area of disability in the states of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattishgarh. Orientation Workshop for Visiting Experts of RCI
An Orientation Workshop for the visiting experts of RCI was held on March 14,2009 at Art Gallery of Auditorium at Jalpaiguri. 75 Rehabilitation Professionals from eastern & North eastern zone participated in the workshop. The purpose  of the woekshop was to orient the visiting experts to the important aspects of inspection of institutions for the purpose of granting recognition/approval and to maintain quality of training offered by such institutions and exchange/sharing of views of senior Experts on the issue of inspection.
