RCI INITIATIVES/ ACHIEVEMENTS

RCI has brought out a status report on disability entitled as 'Status of Disability in India-2000' for the first time in the history of disability information dissemination movement in India,. The next edition of the Status of Disability-2003  has been prepared ---- by May, 2003.

This report will serve many functions namely, (1) a reliable source of basic summative information (2) a basic spot reference, (3) a continuing information support system and (4) a reference document for the libraries of the UN System and of those organisations working in India as well as the foreign countries. Contributions of various distinguished experts working in the areas of disability (VI, HI, MR, LH).
